I travel a lot for my work which didn’t lead to the healthiest life style. The stress of traveling combined with the unhealthy habit of grabbing meals “when you can” took their toll on my body. As a result I joined a gym and hired a trainer.

The first trainer I worked with did get me some initial results but in the long run ending up doing more harm than good. A series of injuries caused by “over stretching” and poor exercise technique left me frustrated. Jason Ivesdal is the Guru of personal training!  He gave me the body I dreamed of when I was in my twenties except now I’m in my forties.

I am a television show host and a clothing designer.  In the industry I work in image really matters.  I work a lot of hours and have a crazy travel schedule.   I love what I do and devote a lot of time to reaching the next level of achievement.  Sometimes when you’re busy you forget about the little things. Like that extra 5 pounds you put on.  Then it turns into 10 then 20.  All of a sudden I was 44 and I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror.

 I was determined to get in shape.  I thought I would just join Weight Watchers and everything would be fine.  It didn’t work.  Then I thought maybe I would really take drastic measures and alternate only vegetables with starving myself. Nothing worked.  I was desperate.  Then a friend at work told me about Higher Power Training and Jason Ivesdal.

At our first meeting Jason asked me what my goals were.  “Flat abs, firm thighs, better glutes, great arms and oh yeah, I want to lose 20 pounds.”  Sounds like a tall order doesn’t it?  Well guess what?  In a matter of months I lost the 20 pounds!  I felt like it literally fell off my body.  I was eating more food than I ever thought possible and I felt great!

Thanks for your support in my detox program.  I am very happy with the results.  I think my health has improved significantly.  As importantly, I think I can maintain a healthier diet.
 
Here are the results after 3 weeks of detox program and 3 more weeks of a new diet.  I have lost about 13 pounds.  Your last measurement had my body fat down from 22 to 17%.  My waist is an inch or two smaller. 
 
The most important measures for me are in my blood work.  As you know, I am concerned about preventing diabetes.  My glucose levels rose to 108 as of 8/12/07.  Already this is down to 102.  My cholesterol dropped from 183 to 131 (-39.7% change), my LDL dropped from 89 to 74, (-16.8 change), and my triglycerides dropped from 219 to 84 (-61.6% change) from the August measurements to a check up on November 15.  I believe my glucose will come down further as my insulin resistance improves.
 
I believe I have really reduced the amount of nasal congestion as a result of eliminating most grains from my diet.  My wife has not kicked me for snoring in two months.
 
I am optimistic about my ability to maintain this.  I have learned to drink lots of water, pack my favorite vegetables, nuts, and meats for six smaller meals a day, and limit my carbohydrate and sugar intake without feeling deprived.  I have eliminated all sodas whether sugared or artificially sweetened.  I have a small dessert a few times a week.
 
Everything tastes better.  I have energy.  This works.

My experience with Jason and the Detoxification diet was both successful and surprising. During the course of 3 weeks I was able to lose 10 pounds of fat and gain 2 pounds of muscle. I was able to both physically and mentally see a difference in my body. Each person is an individual with a unique body, Jason was able to formulate and mold a diet specific to my body type. Through this process I was able to learn how to maintain this new healthy lifestyle for more than just 3 weeks, but for a lifetime. I was never hungry and enjoyed beautiful plates of colorful vegetable and lean meats (and was still able to have some coffee each morning). I have been able to share this new healthy lifestyle with both my husband and daughter, so that we may all live a longer and healthier lifestyle. We are never to young or to old to make a change.

The detox program was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but also the most rewarding.  I didn’t know what to expect when I started since I didn’t have much body fat to lose.  After 3 weeks, the results were outstanding. Much to Jason’s surprise, I wanted to do the Detox to lose bodyfat and better my overall health.  I have Endometriosis and have been told that it is a heavy metal problem.  So, I wanted to put the HPT Detox to the test.  It was very difficult for me, but I lived through it and the benefits are unbelievable!  After having a baby I had reached a plateau and was stuck.  I lost 4.5 pounds and 3.5% bodyfat reaching my lowest bodyfat ever!  I’ve always enjoyed vegetables, but this forced me to find creative, healthy ways to prepare them – helping me (and Jason) to like them even more.  But, the most important benefit for me is the fact that since I finished the detox my menstrual cycles have been much lighter and less painful.  I plan to do the detox 1 or 2 times a year to try to keep the Endometriosis from growing quickly (hopefully then I won’t need my doctor’s suggested surgery every 2 years).  I would strongly recommend this program to anyone who is determined to lose fat and have much better overall health.
